Troop 764 was founded in July 1964 and is chartered by the Venice Japanese Community Center in Venice California. We are celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year 2004 and will continue our tradition of service to the VJCC as well as the Community. Over the 40 years, the Troop has had the honor of advancing over 89 Eagle Scouts who's activities have benefited the VJCC as well as the Venice Buddhist Temple. Eagle Projects have also provided service to Wild Life Preserves, other Temples, Churches & Pre-schools. A special and important organization within our Troop is our Parent Club which works closely with our Scoutmaster in supporting various efforts of the Troop such as Fund Raising Activities, Camping Trips and coordinating activities within the VJCC and the Community. We are especially proud of our parent participation at all of our activites. At the yearly summer camps our Troop goes to, we boost one of the largest turnouts of parents supporting the boys! Troop 764 is blessed with an abundance of resources on many different levels that hopefully will provide a positive Scouting experience for our young men. |
